Successful Start to 2006 for Adkins Speed Center Jan 04, 2006

Adkins Speed Center started the 2006 WKA Manufactures Cup Championship with great success at Daytona International Speedway. This was the first event that Adkins offered an at track support program and it went better than expected.

The biggest accomplishment of the weekend was in Yamaha Sr. Sportsman Lite. Drivers using Adkins engines finished first, second and third along with the fastest lap of the race. Other notable finishes include Brandon Adkins' drive from 29th to 4th in Yamaha Heavy along with fast time. Colton Ramsey finished 5th in HPV Jr. Sportsman in his first ever national race. Ryan Stewart and Chris Wehrheim finished 2nd and 4th respectively in HPV Lite, while Stewart backed that finish up with another 2nd in Yamaha Lite.

"It is great to see our customers have success," stated Brandon Adkins. "Ryan Stewart had his best weekend yet and Colton Ramsey finished in the top five in his first ever National race. We plan to improve on our at track support program with more engines for rent and parts for sale at the next race in Charlotte, NC."

In 2005 Brandon Adkins collected two National championships and one second place. Adkins Speed Center is now a full service kart shop with track support at all WKA Manufactures Cup and Midwest Sprint Series races. Adkins Speed Center can be contacted at 740-498-5157.
